LB Denture.
Full Dentures
If you are missing all your teeth either on the top or bottom, then a complete denture is what you would be looking for. We take into account the position of your jaw, your bite and how much resorption/shrinkage has occurred in the bone under your gums. Even if you already wear a complete denture, overtime teeth can wear out. Something to consider is that without a proper complete denture, your ability to chew your food properly will be reduced and this can affect one’s overall health and wellbeing
Partial Dentures
If you are missing one or many teeth, both your smile and your remaining teeth’s health may be compromised. A partial denture will lend support to your natural teeth to keep them from shifting while reducing stresses on them when you bite and chew. There are generally two types of partial dentures; one is an acrylic partial, made of pink acrylic and held in your mouth with thin metal clasps. There is also a cast partial, where the teeth sit on a metal frame (made of Chromium Cobalt), and this is a more longer-term partial denture
Repairs
Never try to fix a broken denture yourself. Using materials like super-glue can severely affect the fit of the denture which can lead to unwanted results. We can do most repairs on the same day, although sometimes an impression of your mouth may need to be taken. It really dependson the type of repair needed. With partial dentures, if a natural tooth is lost we can add a newtooth to the denture
Relines
Our mouths go through so many changes over time. Although new dentures should be made every 5-7 years, sometimes a denture can become a bit loose in a shorter amount of time. With a reline, new pink denture material, (acrylic), would be added to the tissue/gum side of the denture after having taken an impression of your mouth. This will allow the denture to ‘re-form’ to the current shape of your mouth
